Update on Internship

I worked at Creat Studios this past summer in an attempt to gain industry experience and I could not be any happier with how everything turned out. I was able to meet a great team as well as learn so many things about the industry. I honestly loved every second of it and didn't want to leave once school started up again. Due to the fact that Creat Studios focuses on PSN / PSP / DSi games I was able to be a part of 10 games in my three month period at the company. I would list all the games here but sadly not all have been released / announced yet so I am unable.

I was a design intern where I did a mixture of design and quality assurance testing depending on what the team needed at any given time. Doing so much quality assurance certainly opened up my eyes to many things in the industry and gave me a better understanding of things to design for in the future. It is also funny when people ask what you do at work and once they hear that you are playing video games all day they immediately disregard any statements you say in regards to being tired... as if it were impossible to have a long day of testing haha. It can certainly test your patience attempting to duplicate a bug for hours on end playing the same level over and over again, but it is a job that I wouldn't have traded for the world. I woke up everyday eager to go to work and stayed late on many occasions just because I wanted to keep working instead of going home (not something you will hear from many people at work).

I was able to work with many games as previously mentioned but my favorite has to be TerRover. This game was a joy to test and we had many a days in the studio playing it non stop. The game has been recently released and has had great reviews and I am very proud to have been a part of the team which developed the game. That game is going to be remembered as one of the first which really puts Creat Studios on the map in regards to the Playstation Network.

Last but not least I am going to list the games which I was a part of that I am able to announce:

  • Shapo ( PSP Mini / DSi )
  • Panda Craze ( PSP Mini / DSi )
  • Caterpillar ( PSP Mini / DSi )
  • Rocks and Rockets (PSP Mini / DSi )
  • Terrover (PSN)
To this point those are all the games I am able to reveal due to them being announced ( I noticed that Creat seems to enjoy only telling the public about games when they are about to be released) That is half of the games which I worked on in some way and I hope to reveal much more in the future about these games!
